Remote Release Shackles

You are looking at an award winning range of the most important ‘feet on the ground’ safety and utility equipment, designed to keep operatives away from the dangerous contact point with heavy materials but able to control the release of materials from a safe and convenient point, saving lives and time.

The Euro Ratchet Release Shackle (brochure and manual) fastens to the pile laid horizontal on the ground and allows the banksmen to raise the pile to the vertical and see that the pin is safely engaged at all times. The simple but effective fail safe system then allows the pile to be released remotely by using the belt to turn the ratchet mechanism, all from a position of safety. The wear parts (a car timing belt) can be replaced locally from freely available sources. This should always be used with the Sheet Pile Threader which remotely interlocks sheet piles. We also have a shackle for steel erection (brochure).

The Euro Ground Release Shackle (brochure and manual) fastens to the pile laid horizontal on the ground and allows the banksmen to raise the pile to the vertical and see that the pin is safely engaged at all times. Once in place, the loop preventing the accidental release of the pin can be flicked off the mechanism barrel, allowing the operative to give a sharp tug on the release cable to free the pin from the pile. This is always used in conjunction with the Sheet Pile Threader for remote safe interlocking of sheet piles.

ERBS

The Euro Ratchet Beam Shackle is based on the same principle and mechanism as the Euro Ratchet Release Shackle, but is designed for the horizontal lifting of steel sections, therefore the pin releases a sling rather than the steel member directly. The release mechanism is operated in this case on a horizontal plane.
