How do I set up 2-step verification?
You can set up or manage 2-step verification (2SV) with your phone number through a pop up in online banking (please follow the prompts), or after sign in.
To set up 2-step text message verification when you sign in to Scotia online banking:
  - After sign in, select Set up phone number
 
  - Add your phone number to receive verification codes, then select Continue
 
  - Get a text message or phone call with your verification code
 
  - Enter the verification code, then select Complete set up
 
  - Select Continue
 
To set up 2-step verification from the Security and passwords menu in Scotia online banking:
  - After sign in, select Manage my accounts
 
  - Select Security and passwords, then Update security verification method, then Update verification method
 
  - Select Set up your phone
 
  - Enter your phone number to receive verification codes
 
  - Get a text message or phone call with a verification code
 
  - Enter the verification code and select Complete set up
 
  - Select Continue
